Miss Pridefest Key West Competition
The Miss PrideFest Key West pageant is a long standing tradition of entertainment, community representation, and female impersonation, celebrating gay pride. The pageant has been in existence for more than fifteen years and is considered an honor in representing the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered community during the PrideFest festivities and for the upcoming year. The pageant is held annually in the Crystal Room at Lateda and contestants are limited to female impersonators only, or men who dress as women! Put on your dress and your high heels and become part of a longstanding event filled with pride and glamour!

The Key West Gay & Lesbian Community Center cordially invites you to join us for PRIDE RIDE 1 Bike Parade Saturday, June 12, 2010 9:00am-10:30am starting and finishing at White Street Pier This is a FREE event. Dress up! Dress down! Dress OUT! Celebrate Key West’s diversity, unity, and equality…on a bike! Bring your friends and family, kids and co-workers—everyone is invited to participate. Group meets on White Street Pier at 9:00am. Group bike photo at 9:15am*.
At 9:30am, beginning at White Street pier, we will go right past Higgs Beach, Casa Marina, Louie’s Back Yard, and onto the Southernmost Point. From their we will take Whitehead Street to our ½ way point, the Key West Post Office, where we will stop to allow stragglers to catch up and have some water (provided at no charge). We will continue on Whitehead Street and turn right onto Front Street. From their, we will have a GLORIOUS ride up Duval Street and turn left on United Street, where we will turn right and return to end at the White Street pier. Come out and celebrate Pride Key West-style—in your rainbowed-out, most colorful, feathered, painted, glittered, laced, scattered, smothered, and costumed-covered finest…and on a bike! *Group photo will be taken at 9:15am for later download free on Facebook or at our website http:///www.glcckeywest.org.
